Deeds for lands sold and purchased in Norwich, Connecticut, 1729-1812. The name that most frequently appears on the deeds is Elijah Backus. He also signed several legal documents as Justice of the Peace. The legal documents include a summons, a complaint, an arrest warrant, and writs.
